Share Your Science at SID 2026 <\/h1>\n

Abstract submissions for the 2026 SID Annual Meeting in Chicago open in November. Investigators at all career stages are encouraged to submit their work for consideration. Top-rated abstracts will be selected for oral presentations; others will be featured in poster sessions throughout the meeting. <\/p>\n

Each year, more than 1,000 abstracts are submitted across categories including immunology, oncology, regenerative medicine, inflammation, and clinical research. All accepted abstracts will be published in the August Supplement issue of the Journal of Investigative Dermatology (JID).<\/em> The abstracts will be made available as an unofficial document as part of the meeting via links on the SID website approximately early May.<\/p>\n

Review Process<\/h5>\n

After the abstract submission deadline, each abstract will be reviewed by two independent reviewers, who are blinded to the abstract authors, by abstract category. The SID Committee on Scientific Programs will also review submitted abstracts.<\/p>\n

The evaluation and scoring of the abstract will be made according to multiple criteria, including:<\/p>\n

  • What is interesting, informative, novel, or important about the content?<\/li>\n
  • Are the methods valid, the results relevant, and the conclusions justified by the data?<\/li>\n
  • Is the data presented with clarity and with appropriate structure?<\/li>\n
  • Selection of abstracts for meeting presentation (oral or poster) will be based on abstract scores. Abstracts not abiding by the above rules and regulations or those receiving exceptionally low priority scores may be rejected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Presentation<\/h5>\n

    All accepted abstracts will be selected for presentation during one of four session types: Plenary (up to 12 minutes oral presentation), Concurrent Mini-Symposium (up to 10 minutes oral presentation), e-Poster Talk (up to 5 minutes oral presentation), and Poster Only.<\/p>\n
