Ronald M. Evans is a Professor and Director of the Gene Expression Laboratory and holds the March of Dimes Chair in Molecular and Development Biology.\u00a0 He is best known for his discovery of the nuclear receptor superfamily. He is a Fellow of the American Association for Cancer Research, American Philosophical Society, the National Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Medicine, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He is routinely listed in the Top 100 Scientists in the World and is a Highly Cited Researcher, with over 246,000 citations. Awards include the Gairdner, Lasker, Wolf and Japan Prizes.<\/p>\n
